In addition to established fundraising methods, Botrstvo v športu also strives to create special and innovative projects that spread our message and raise additional funds to support young athletes from disadvantaged backgrounds. Each such initiative is a story of its own, showcasing the power of community, compassion, and the dedication of Slovenian sport.
Since 2015, the Olympic Committee of Slovenia – Association of Sports Federations, in cooperation with the Leon Štukelj and Miroslav Cerar Foundation, has traditionally organized a charity gala evening broadcast live on TV Slovenia. The event brings together people who believe in the power of sport and solidarity. Since 2020, funds raised have been dedicated to Botrstvo v športu. The evening includes a traditional charity auction of sports memorabilia from the ambassador’s collection and the symbolic passing of the charity ball to the next ambassador.
